Dynamic Partner Matching - A Different Process

The old-style Request for Proposal (RFP) was rigid, formal, and removed creative input by talented potential suppliers. This process can actually be harmful when buying technology. Technology options can change radically between the time your committee forms and the time your RFP actually goes out the door.

When a buyer approaches the market through our Dynamic Partner Matching process, they want the best of both worlds. They expect professional requirements gathering and vendor coordination, but they also want creative input from potential suppliers. Today's process of buying technology must be a professionally managed conversation between multiple potential partners, not the rigid quote gathering mechanism used to build bridges.

What does Dynamic Partner Matching guarantee?

When we facilitate a conversation between buyers and builders, you can count on all of the following to be true:

  • No Inside Players. No builders participate in the earliest version of the specs you see, so there is no chance that they have been steered toward a certain solution.
  • No Internal Competition. The spec released is not a fishing tool designed to empower internal developers with strategy and cool ideas.
  • The Contract will be Awarded. By the time we release a spec, we have made sure that the buyer is serious, has a budget, and will award the contract.
  • Technology Neutral. Technologies are not solutions. We avoid listing specific technologies so that the best solutions can be introduced. We will, howevever, list any backbone technologies (e.g. Windows, Linux, Unix) that represent an ongoing commitment by the buyer to a certain infrastructure.
  • No Online Postings. If you see a spec from us, it comes as a personal invitation. No more than a handful of competitors will be engaged on any given spec.
